UHP Belong Coordinator
This year, I had the opportunity to serve as a Belong Coordinator for the University Honors Program, and it was a truly rewarding experience. One of the most exciting parts was the chance to bring my own ideas to life while collaborating with an amazing group of fellow students. Together, we worked on creating programs that helped build connections and foster a sense of community within UHP.
I especially enjoyed how this role allowed me to engage with the UHP community in a meaningful way—whether through designing materials for the honors lounge, welcoming transition students, planning fun events for students, or brainstorming new ways to connect with my peers. It was also a chance to collaborate with campus partners and help support some of the amazing events already taking place at UHP.
Throughout the year, I grew both as a leader and a team member. Overall, being a Belong Coordinator not only enhanced my event planning and communication skills but also gave me a deeper connection to the UHP community and the people in it. I have learned to be a better global citizen scholar by learning working towards inclusion and sharing of cultural information using the resources from this experience with others.
